The band Rage In My Eyes from Rio Grande do Sul released a live version of "I Don't Want to Say Goodbye" last Friday, the 23rd, a song created in homage to the eternal maestro of national heavy metal, Andre Matos .
The original version of the track, released in June 2020 on the one-year anniversary of the vocalist's death, was one of the most beautiful tributes made to this important figure in Brazilian heavy metal, and will now be available on the live DVD And Then Came The Theater , recorded earlier this year in Porto Alegre.
“I Don't Want to Say Goodbye” can be accessed both on the band's YouTube channel and on digital platforms, and is one of the highlights of this bold release from the band from Rio Grande do Sul, as vocalist Jonathas Pozo :
“The studio version already involved a super emotional production process, with hundreds of fans sending us their personal recordings with the Maestro. And now this live recording brings to light just how emotional it is to experience this tribute with the energy of so many people who also find solace and inspiration in Andre's work. For me, it's also especially impactful to be at the piano (even though it's not my main instrument), because of all the symbolism it represents. And we hope to share a little bit of that vibe with everyone in this new video.”
