Rage Against The Machine 's hit "Killing In The Name" has reached 1 billion plays on Spotify .

The 1992 song is about "racist police officers who often behave like the Ku Klux Klan in service of historical white supremacy and lick the boots of the lackeys and thugs of the racist capitalist ruling class," according to Tom Morello X profile (formerly Twitter ), where he criticized fans of the band who don't understand its messages .

Tom Morello celebrated the milestone on his X , thanking all the listeners, "those who liked it, those who hated it, and those who liked it even without realizing it." Check out the statement here.
