Rafael Bittencourt Aquiles Priester 's departure from Angra in 2008 in a recent interview with IbagensCast , complementing the version narrated by Felipe Andreoli on the podcast.

As mentioned in the program's presentation, Andreoli stated that Priester's dismissal had happened much earlier, but Bittencourt sought to give him second chances. "And I'll say more, we took our time removing Aquiles from the band, given the dissatisfaction that already existed within the group due to his behavior," the bassist recounted.

Asked about this moment in Angra's career, Bittencourt commented on the decision. “Man, sorry, okay? But Aquiles leaving was a huge relief. It wasn't difficult,” said the guitarist and co-founder of the band. “I'm a guy who's there working, if there's something hindering the work and those who are there, the situation is that [when] that thing no longer exists, it improves.”

Just as Andreoli stated that Aquiles "caused trouble" within the band, Bittencourt explained the reason why the drummer supposedly hindered the group, but without going into details. "He was a guy who was very difficult to work with in a team. A talent, but in a team, I'm out," he continued.
