After nine years of feuds, accusations, and legal disputes, Rafael Bittencourt and Edu Falaschi have finally reconciled. Both will be present at the Angra Reunion show, which will take place at Bangers Open Air 2026 and will mark the reunion of the "New Era" lineup .

In a post made on social media last Wednesday, the 4th, the guitarist and founding member of Angra revealed that he met the vocalist in person, where they talked for about four hours and spoke "about grudges, unresolved feelings, joys that have withstood the test of time and sorrows that were never spoken aloud."

“Today begins a new phase of my life. After 9 years, I had the opportunity—a blessed one—to sit face to face with Edu Falaschi for a long, deep, and absolutely honest conversation. Edu is a friend, a partner, and part of many musical adventures that have shaped who I am. But the twists of fate, life's stumbles, and silence kept us apart. We spent four hours alone. Without an audience. Without armor.”

“We talked about lingering resentments, unresolved feelings, joys that have stood the test of time, and sorrows that were never spoken aloud. We were both interested in something rare: forgiveness. We made ourselves available to listen.”

“To embrace differences. To lower our defenses. To admit mistakes. We apologized to each other. For the wear and tear. For the disrespect. For the pain that remained along the way. I left there lighter. More whole. More at peace. We talked about Angra, about our personal lives, careers, the pandemic, and this confusing world we are trying to understand as we move forward.”

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Bangers Open Air production team, especially Damaris Hoffmann. Without the invitation to participate in the festival, I might still be carrying this weight on my chest. Maintaining a successful band for decades is already difficult.”

“But maintaining harmony among those involved is even more difficult, fragile, and delicate. Overcoming these challenges is what gives meaning and depth to those who experience it directly. Angra has a beautiful history of overcoming obstacles—in music and in relationships. And the Bangers show will be a great celebration of all of that. I hope to see you there. With an open heart. Thank you, Edu, for the chat. Congratulations on your achievements. And may life continue to be lighter and brighter from now on.”

Edu Falaschi also shared a photo of a meeting with Rafael Bittencourt

On his Instagram, Edu also shared the same photo as Rafael. In the caption of the post, he celebrated the fact:

"Life teaches in many ways. Sometimes through encounters, sometimes through distance. And, almost always, through time and maturity. After years carrying silences, noises, and unresolved pains, I had the opportunity to sit down, look into his eyes, and truly talk with @rbittencourton.".

“We talk about what was beautiful. What hurt. What was left unresolved. And, above all, what can be transformed. Forgiving is not erasing history, it's giving it new meaning. It's understanding that growing up also hurts, but it liberates. Life is movement. And real evolution, on all levels, begins when we decide not to carry burdens that have already served their purpose.”

“Thank you, Rafael, for the frank conversation, for entering a new personal era together, and especially for everything you and Angra have given me in my personal and professional life. Eternal gratitude for our legacy and immense pride in what we have built—and what we can still build. Thank you to @bangersopenair, to the dear @damarishoffman, and to the great Márcio from @consuladodorock for initiating this reconnection. Let's move forward: in April, the world will receive an unforgettable spectacle.”
