The track is part of Radio Front's album Into the Rain , released last year.
On their debut album, the Rio de Janeiro band Radio Front sings about the weight of grief in various forms. But this is particularly evident in the short and somber "Black Soldier." The track, composed of 16 layers of vocalist Felipe Nova's voice, piano, and sounds of chains, features a video by Gabriel Gomes that depicts a veritable procession of the dead.
This is the band's second music video, following the title track "Into The Rain" .
Blending personal influences like a radio tuning into different frequencies, the debut album Into The Rain brings together tracks with diverse contours of alternative rock, grunge, and stoner rock, with moments that approach genres as different as hardcore and metal. The band, which began its career in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, brings a weight to its lyrics, along with its sound.
