Queensrÿche has released “In Extremis,” the first single from their upcoming album, Digital Noise Alliance . The band's 16th studio album will be released on October 7th and marks their fourth album with vocalist Todd La Torre and their first with Casey Grillo on drums – who has been touring with the band for years. It also marks the return of Mike Stone , who was in the band between 2003 and 2008.

Digital Noise Alliance was produced by Chris “Zeuss” Harris, who previously worked with Queensrÿche on Condition Hüman (2015) and The Verdict (2019). Check out the first sample of the work below with “In Extremis”, which came with a music video.

Speaking about the song in a press release, the group commented: “This song is about being on your deathbed surrounded by your loved ones, clinging to the last available sense, letting them know that you will still hear them after correspondence or perceived consciousness is visible. Other conceptual metaphors emerge and disappear, observing a world that does not bend to accommodate such suffering, a universe of mockery and emptiness of such abilities.”
