According to the portal, one of the founders of Queensrÿche , drummer Scott Rockenfield , filed a lawsuit this week in Washington State Court against his former bandmates, guitarist Michael Wilton and bassist Eddie Jackson , as well as their respective wives.

The dispute affects several companies they created, including Queensrÿche Holdings LLC and Tri-Ryche Cooperation Inc. , among others.

Rockenfield had been inactive since 2017, and the legal proceedings were revealed by someone very close to Queensrÿche named Eric goes by the nickname Dude Random on social media.

"Apparently they were talking about a band reunion (even with Chris DeGarmo ), but now everything's messed up with Scott Rockenfield's lawsuit against Michael Wilton and Eddie Jackson."

"The lawsuit includes breach of contract; oppression against shareholders; wrongful termination; breach of artistic agreements; and violation of the Washington State Rights Act."

In January of this year, Rockenfield used social media to say that he was still a member of Queensrÿche and that he had not retired from music.

"Want to hear something funny? Here it is: Contrary to any statements or interviews from other people, I definitely did not leave, resign, abandon, or retire from Queensrÿche!!! …unfortunately, they didn't tell you the whole story, nor the complete facts… I'll tell you more soon…"

In 2017, the drummer took leave to be with his son for his first few months and has since been replaced by Casey Grillo from Kamelot .

The tracks for the band's last album, The Verdict from 2019, were composed by vocalist Todd La Torre . At the time, La Torre said:

“There’s nothing new regarding Scott, as far as I know. He hasn’t left the band, he hasn’t said, ‘I’m never coming back.’ All we know, really, is that he’s just enjoying spending time with his son, who’s a little over a year old. I mean, the guy gave almost 37 years of his life to Queensrÿche, to the fans and everything else, and he wants time for himself and his family. So how can you argue? A guy just wanting to be a dad, that’s all? So that’s the kind of deal.”
