Queensrÿche released a video for their cover of Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell, which you can watch at the end of this article.

The song, originally released in 1983 on Billy Idol's album Rebel Yell , is part of Digital Noise Alliance , the group's most recent album, released in October 2022.

In an October 2022 interview with the radio program Heavy Demons , guitarist Michael Wilton spoke about the band's decision to cover "Rebel Yell." He said, "With the record label, we have to have 10 or 11 songs [on an album]; that's what you're signed for. And then they like extra songs, bonus tracks or something like that. So, this time, instead of giving a bonus track that's a live recording of one of our songs, we said, 'Let's do something different.'"

“So we had the idea to do a cover. Originally we were going to do a song by The Cult , 'She Sells Sanctuary'. But Todd [ La Torre , vocalist] didn't feel comfortable singing that. So he brought up the idea of doing the Billy Idol song. And it was really cool. We put a bit of Queensrÿche into the song, but it's very reminiscent of the original. And Todd nailed the vocals; it's incredible. So, who knows? Maybe we can play it live; I don't know. But it's something I think people will be very surprised by. They'll say, 'What?' They'll scratch their heads and, while listening, they'll say, 'That's fucking awesome!'”

The band's 16th album was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris , who also worked with the band on the albums Condition Hüman and The Verdict.
