Queens of the Stone Age returned this Thursday, the 11th, with the new single “Emotion Sickness”. The band also announced their new studio album, called In Times New Roman… , which will be released on June 16th by the Matador label.

According to the band's announcement, the new album features the "most acidic" compositions of founder Joshua Homme , but promises to be one of the most beautiful works in Queens of the Stone Age's discography. The project is described as "raw, sometimes brutal, and not recommended for the faint of heart."

The single that introduces the work, "Emotion Sickness," features a chorus characteristic of Queens of the Stone Age and is marked by "tones of psychic turmoil," as the band defines it, as a result of the last chaotic years and losses, both personal and collective.

Queens of the Stone Age is one of the confirmed acts for Rock Day at The Town 2023 festival, which takes place in São Paulo. The band will perform on the same day as Foo Fighters , on September 9th. The album In Times New Roman… will be available on all digital platforms and on vinyl and CD on June 16th. See the cover and tracklist below.
