This Wednesday, the 31st, Queens of the Stone Age releases “Carnavoyeur”, the newest single from their upcoming album, In Times New Roman …
In contrast to “Emotion Sickness,” “Carnavoyeur” showcases the band weaving in more subtle shades of sinister elements. The mesmerizing guitar sounds form the solid foundation of the group's trademark sound, while Joshua Homme envelop the listener with their warm and very familiar tones of acceptance and resignation.
Although the dazzling and mellow melodies of "Carnavoyeur" are undeniably very beautiful, this is still Queens of the Stone Age, and there's no shortage of thunderous drums and bass and spine-tingling guitars.
The album In Times New Roman… will be available on all platforms on June 16th via Matador Records . On the eve of the release, fans are invited to celebrate the album's launch at Midnight Club parties, which will take place in record stores and pubs across 23 countries.
The Midnight Club begins at 11 PM on June 15th and will feature giveaways, exclusive merchandise including limited-edition colored vinyl, and, at select locations, autographed merchandise and complimentary tickets. The Midnight Club will give Queens of the Stone Age fans their first chance to hear In Times New Roman… in its entirety, among friends, family, and, of course, at the right sound levels.
