In the week of the release of Queens of the Stone Age , the band released another sample of the work to fans this Wednesday, the 14th, with the new song "Paper Maschete". This is the last single before the album In Times New Roman… , which will be released this Friday, June 16th, by the Matador Records label.
“Paper Machete” is described as a future classic from Queens of the Stone Age, being an instantly relatable track designed to appeal to both casual fans and those who already love the band. Lyrically, this song showcases Josh Homme's wit at its most acerbic. If “Carnavoyeur,” released previously , signaled resignation and acceptance, “Paper Machete” is the collision of pure, raw force that takes you there with energy.
Queens of the Stone Age has announced a series of shows in Europe for The End is Nero . The previously announced North American dates are already on sale. The band will also be coming to Brazil for The Town in São Paulo, with tickets currently sold out.
