In a recent interview with BBC Radio 2 , band members Roger Taylor and Brian May revealed that they recently found a recording of an unreleased song featuring Freddie Mercury , and that the track will be released to the public soon.
According to Taylor, the recording is from Queen , The Miracle The Miracle sessions and I think we’re going to release it in September,” revealed the drummer.
According to the remaining members of Queen, the song, titled “Face It Alone,” is a very “passionate” piece. “It was kind of hiding in plain sight,” said May. “We looked at it several times and thought, ‘Oh, we can’t salvage this,’ but we actually tried again and our wonderful sound engineering team said, ‘Okay, we can do this and that.’ It’s like stitching the pieces together. But it’s beautiful. It’s touching.”
Last weekend, Queen was one of the bands to perform during Queen Elizabeth II's jubilee, with Adam Lambert as lead vocalist.
