Queen 's Greatest Hits tops the list as the only one with more than 6 million copies sold.
Released in 1981, the compilation has sold 6.1 million copies. Following it on the list are ABBA's "Gold – Greatest Hits" with 5.2 million and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" with 5.1 million.
Queen guitarist Brian May commented on reaching the top spot: “What great news to wake up to! The most popular album? Well, I always thought the band had potential, but this is way beyond childhood dreams. Thank you, guys!”
