Queen - deserved tribute by playing the classic "We Are The Champions." The band altered the lyrics to "You Are The Champions."

As has been the case in almost every place, healthcare professionals and those in other essential fields have been honored and received numerous expressions of support.

Brian May , Roger Taylor , and Adam Lambert have found a touching way to thank those on the front lines fighting the coronavirus. Watch their version of "You Are The Champions" below.

All proceeds from the Queen song will be donated to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Fund.

In the released version, the bass was recorded by Neil Fairclough , the bassist who accompanies the band in live shows.

Guitarist Brian May said: "We have to dedicate this to all the frontline warriors who are fighting for humanity against the coronavirus."

"Just like our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents who fought for us in two great world wars, these brave warriors are our new champions."

"This is for the doctors, nurses, cleaners, doormen, drivers, and all those who silently risk their lives daily to save ours. Champions, all of you!"

Drummer Roger Taylor adds, “As a father with a daughter working on the front lines, I am acutely aware of the vital work they are doing every day to save us and our society. Their bravery and sacrifice deserve nothing less than 100% of the government’s efforts to protect them. They are precious and truly our champions.”
