Queen revealed a surprise this Monday, the 14th. The band released a teaser on their social media for the film Bohemian Rhapsody , which will tell the story of frontman Freddie Mercury and his bandmates.
Recently, actor Rami Malek, who plays the vocalist in the film, said during an interview about the responsibility and difficulty of portraying a music icon: “When I got the role, I thought, 'My God, this performance could define my career forever.' And two minutes later I thought, 'This could even bury my career.'”
While Malek was talking about the project, Queen's official website shared new images from the biopic . Now, in addition to the poster, the band has released a teaser and revealed that the full trailer will be released on Tuesday the 15th. UPDATE: The teaser has been taken down for unknown reasons.
Bohemian Rhapsody will hit theaters on November 2nd of this year and will star Gwilym Lee as Brian May , Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor , and Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon . The screenplay was written by Justin Haythe and Anthony McCarten, and the film is directed by Dexter Fletcher.
