Queen drummer Roger Taylor releases animated video for new single; listen to “Isolation”

“There’s a certain frustration in not knowing what’s going to happen,” Taylor laments

Queen drummer Roger Taylor has released an animated video for his new single, "Isolation".

In an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music , the artist stated that, as the song title suggests, he was inspired to reflect on isolation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The song was written in Cornwall, in a shed that Taylor calls his "garden room".

“There’s a certain frustration in not knowing what’s going to happen,” the drummer confided. “It was a frustration mixed with a bit of anxiety behind it all, so I just thought I could write a song to get through the day, the routine in isolation. It’s something we’re not used to. It’s a direct reflection of how I was feeling at the time.”
