2020 is coming to an end, but the quarantine continues strong here at Wikimetal ! Of course, to keep us sane and healthy we need a lot of music, and with that, our series of Brazilian bands for you to discover and listen to with the Wikimetal team reaches its 12th edition!

Here we've selected five bands that we believe are a great choice to help you unwind during quarantine. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the music!

1) Starting the list with an explosive sound, we present Impluvium . Carlos Rocha (vocals), Tales Ribeiro (guitar), Luiz Rodrigues (guitar), Guilherme Fuse (bass), and André Prevedello (drums) showcase the power of Brazilian heavy metal with the single "Flower Street".

This song is the group's first original composition and already sets the tone for the sound we can expect from their future work. Listen below.

2) Following the trend of heavy Brazilian music comes 10mg , who recently released their second single, "Illusions of Your Brain". The band consists of Peter Werny (vocals and guitar), Roberto Sheldon (guitar), Duilio Murai (bass), and Edu Cestare (drums).

“Illustions of Your Brasin” was mixed by Guilherme Canaes, who has worked with Angra and Symphony X , and mastered by Swedish producer Tony Lindgren ( Opeth , Sepultura ). 10mg is no joke, and their sound is definitely worth checking out!

3) Rounding out our list today is Mordor Truckers , a band from the south of the country, who recently released an instrumental single titled “Red Sands”. With a more stoner rock and psychedelic feel, the band delivers a strong 70s sound.

Mordor Truckers is formed by the trio Manuel Ceballos (vocals and guitar), Lucas Dal-Ri (bass) and Brendan Bazzi (drums).
