The vitality of Rock n' Roll. The aggressiveness of Hard Rock. And the beauty of Heavy Metal. These are just some of the elements that lovers of good old Rock & Roll can enjoy in the Maranhão-based band Púrpura Ink. Formerly known as Púrpura, the group was formed in 2010 and, since then, has established itself as one of the main rock bands in the capital of Maranhão. As an original group, the band actually started in 2012. Their compositions seek a synthesis between the melody of Hard Rock/AOR, an influence complemented by the band's use of keyboards, the energy and attitude of 80s Heavy Metal, and the heaviness of current music. |

The band consists of Márcio Glam (guitar), Chris Wiesen (guitar), Seth Bass (bass), EJ (vocals), and Derick (drums).
Known for the quality of its members' musical performances, the group is active in the music scene of the capital of Maranhão, having performed at various events in São Luís and throughout Maranhão.
