Punk no Park is one of the main heavy music festivals in Belo Horizonte, establishing itself as a space for resistance and celebration of punk, hardcore, and underground culture. The event takes place on June 7th at the Maria do Socorro Moreira Ecological Park. Tickets are on sale at the Go Free website.
More than just a musical event, the festival brings together veteran and up-and-coming bands from the scene, promotes alternative fairs, artistic interventions and cultural activities, creating a plural and accessible environment for all audiences.
An initiative that goes beyond the stage.
Born as an event to celebrate punk rock and alternative culture in Belo Horizonte, Punk no Park quickly evolved into a movement that integrates music, art, and activism. In addition to the concerts, the festival offers:
“Alternative Fair” – A space for independent artists, artisans, and collectives to exhibit their work, from t-shirts and records to graphic art and DIY accessories. “Workshops and Talks” – Discussions about music, politics, activism, and punk culture, in addition to art and screen printing workshops. “Kids' Area” – Activities for children, ensuring the event is family-friendly and inclusive. “Alternative Gastronomy” – Vegan, vegetarian, and affordable food options, reinforcing the commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The festival has already occupied different spaces in the city, from public parks to skate parks and alternative venues, always maintaining its community essence. Furthermore, the organization expanded its reach with "Sessions in the City," bringing the energy of punk to other parts of Belo Horizonte.
