On March 8, 2025, Allianz Parque in São Paulo hosted Punk is Coming – a mini-festival headlined by The Offspring , featuring a variety of artists from different genres and generations of rock.

Check out below how the other bands that performed at the event were covered.

Amyl and the Sniffers on Punk is Coming

Promptly at 2 PM, the quartet kicked off the show at Allianz Parque .

To the sound of the fast-paced "Security," the band roused the crowd already present in the stadium, even though the floor and the upper and lower tiers were still relatively empty.

During the first break, lead singer Amy Taylor thanked the audience for arriving early and supporting her band – which is originally from South Australia.

The set mostly focused on tracks from their most recent album, Cartoon Darkness : “Chewing Gun”, “Tiny Bikini”, and “Doing In My Head”.

But hits like “GFY”, “Guided By Angels” and “Some Mutts (Can't Be Muzzled)” also featured in the set.

During the song "Big Dreams," Amy said they were "going to slow the pace down a bit." At the beginning of "U Should Be Not Doing That," the vocalist went down to the barrier, where she sang the first verses with the fans who were there.

Before the hit “Jerkin,” Taylor asked where the women were and dedicated the song to them. The singer also flipped Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Javier Milieu, and Vladimir Putin.

“Hertz” was responsible for closing the band's performance. The Australians prove to be one of the best names in punk in the new generation. A straightforward and direct show with excellent musicians.

Amy Taylor is an excellent frontwoman. She moves around a lot on stage, and performing on a date like International Women's Day is a demonstration that women can and should be where they've always dreamed of being.

The Warning: No Punk is Coming

Villarreal sisters was one of the most anticipated attractions since its announcement – if not the main one for many, given the very large presence of the group's fan club.

The band has toured South America before, but finally made its debut in Brazil.

Before the start of the performance, the audience raised balloons with the lightning bolt logo of The Warning , along with shouts of "Ole, Ole, Ole, Warning, Warning". The trio's fan club in the country was present in force and orchestrated this dynamic.

When the set began with "S!CK," the fans went wild and sang every single verse of the song.

Next came “Z”, a track from the album Error (2022). Followed by “Que Más Quieres”, “Satisfied”, “MORE”, and “Sharks”, which are tracks from the album Keep Me Fed , Wawas' most recent album.

In “Disciple,” vocalist and guitarist Daniela introduced her sisters, Alejandra (bass) and Paulina (drums and vocals). Venturing a few words in Portuguese, Dany said that they “were a band from Mexico and that they were very excited to finally be in Brazil.”

The great singles from the new album, "Hell You Call A Dream" and "Automatic Sun," were also present and generated a lot of excitement.

Total excitement at the Mexican sisters' show!

In the final, the trio came with the fast-paced "Evolve" and, to shouts of "one more," ended their performance with "Dull Knives (Cut Better)."

Unlike the first show, the audience was more enthusiastic. Due to the large number of young people in the audience, it was clear that The Warning has a demand for solo shows here.

One point to note is that after the show, many fans left the venue, since most had come just to see them. Judging by the band's sound, they are not punk, but rather hard rock and even metal.

Paulina is certainly a standout. Her versatility in singing and playing drums with considerable force is remarkable. Ale has an impeccable bass tone and is the most reserved of the three. Dany is the most talkative, in addition to delivering charm and stage presence, switching between English and Spanish in her speeches.

Many say that "rock is dead," but Ale, Dany, and Pau are proving otherwise. Rock is simply renewing itself, and they have everything it takes to become great exponents of this new cycle.

The Damned, No Punk Is Coming

The veteran English punk band received a mixed reception from the audience at Punk is Coming – given that only long-time fans of the band knew the songs .

Despite attempts by vocalist Dave Vanian and guitarist Captain Sensible

Even so, the band gave a good performance, but it would have worked better in a solo show, like the previous night at Cine Jóia .

The drums were loud while Vanian's keyboard and vocals were low during the set. Classics like "Love Song," "Neat Neat Neat," "Ignite," and "Noise Noise Noise" were featured.

“Fan Club” was dedicated to Brian James – the band's original guitarist, who passed away last Thursday, March 6th. James was a member of the group between 1976 and 1978.

During the classic song "New Rose," James's image was shown on the big screen.

“Smash It Up (Part 1 & 2)” brought the show to a close – which had all the makings of one of the best, given the band's importance, widely cited as one of The Offspring's influences, but ended without the deserved reaction.

Rise Against no Punk is Coming

The performance by the Chicago-based hardcore band began while the sky was still light.

In recent years, Rise Against has mostly performed at festivals. In 2023, the band played a side show in São Paulo before Lollapalooza .

The set began with “Re-Education (Through-Labor)”, which was quickly followed by “The Violence” and “Give It All”, other classics from the group led by vocalist and guitarist Tim McIlrath .

At one point, Tim praised the bands The Warning and Amyl And The Sniffers, saying that "the future of rock was well represented." The Damned was also mentioned.

The new single “Nod” was also performed, as well as “Ready to Fall” and “Prayer Of The Refugee” – where one of the most insane mosh pits of the show took place – at one point during the show, a fan got hurt and McIlrath asked for the audience's help, and waited for him to receive medical attention.

To calm things down a bit, they played the acoustic track "Swing Life Away," sung with just vocals and guitar. Like the previous band, the quartet was having sound difficulties – in Rise's case, Joe Principe was very loud and Tim's vocals were low, only clearly audible on the acoustic track.

With the sun already set at Allianz Arena, Rise Against performed "Make It Stop (September's Children)" and closed with "Savior," a favorite among many fans.

Overall, it was an excellent performance from a band beloved by fans of the Tony Hawk . In addition to being one of the most energetic, it featured the aforementioned and expected mosh pits.

Sublime no Punk is Coming

The second-to-last act took the stage with a young guitarist addressing the microphone and saying, “My name is Jakob Nowell and this is Sublime .” Jakob is the son of Bradley Nowell , the band's original vocalist, who passed away in 1996. “Garden Grove” opened the set.

When introducing the group, the vocalist referred to Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums) as his "uncles." Both form the band's "rhythm section," which consistently draws praise from fans.

Blending ska, reggae, and punk, well-known tracks such as "Pawn Shop," "Greatest-Hits," "Wrong Way," and "April 29, 1992 (Miami)" were also featured in the show.

The public easily recognized "Doin' Time" for its relevance or even for the version released by singer Lana Del Rey .

Tribute from Bradley Nowell's son

During the hit song “What I Got,” Jakob called on “an old acquaintance of the fans,” Noodles . The Offspring guitarist took over the instrument while Nowell sang the track. At the end, the screen displayed a photo of him as a baby next to his father.

Jakob also performed some songs with vocals and guitar, and then the band launched into "Date Rape".

Towards the end of the show, they played "Same in the End," and their biggest hit, "Santeria," closed the performance.

For much of the performance, the Californians also had sound problems – most reports came from those in the upper seats of the stadium. The sound improved as the performance progressed.

Wilson and Gaugh had already toured Brazil with Sublime With Rome , which was led by vocalist Rome Ramirez . Now Jakob has a chance to carry on his father's legacy, and the group gains energy for a new phase – including a new album of original material after 28 years, expected in 2025.
