Punk in the Park took place last Saturday, the 7th, in Belo Horizonte. The festival started at 1 PM with the first band, Drástiko , taking the stage around 2 PM. The sequence was electrifying: Chuva Negra , Institution (which got the mosh pit going wild) and Hold Your Breath kept the audience high-energized.
The event organization was impeccable, with well-planned infrastructure. The kids' area, the official merchandise stands and the bands' stands, as well as the alternative stage, were in a covered space, even prepared for the light rain that fell in the late afternoon. One of the highlights of the afternoon was Cemitério , who brought a lot of heaviness and aggression, complete with an intense mosh pit and stage diving .
At the beginning of the evening, Eskröta drove the audience wild with a performance that even included a fan dressed as Carrie Stephen King 's character in Carrie ), referencing the song "Daughter of Satan". Then, Sugar Kane took the stage with a more direct and fun punk sound, further energizing the crowd.
Around 8:30 PM, Eminence took the stage with their modern death metal, full of aggression and technical skill. The band from Belo Horizonte drove the audience into a frenzy with their heavy sound, demonstrating a very high level of quality.
After that, on the alternative stage, Plastic Pocket made their debut with energetic alternative punk, and Colligere rocked the main stage before one of the most anticipated bands of the event.
Unfortunately, Cólera was unable to finish their show for their performance having expired. Even so, the band didn't disappoint and delivered all their classic energy within the allotted time.
Punk in the Park has proven to be an essential event for fans of punk, hardcore, and metal, with meticulous production and a powerful lineup.
