The supergroup Prophets of Rage has finished recording their second studio album, and the first single was just released this Friday, the 6th. “Heart Afire” marks the beginning of the band's new phase and is available on all streaming platforms.
Formed by members of Rage Against The Machine , Cypress Hill , and Public Enemy , the group has been active since 2016, when they joined forces to raise discussions about the United States presidential election.
The successor to the self-titled album released in 2017 was confirmed by bassist Tim Comerford during an interview with Kaaos TV . “We made an album and it was a record of that period. And now we’re on the way to another album; we’ve already finished a 13-song album and we’re in the process of making it happen at the moment.”
Commerford also mentioned that they are exploring a new sound for the upcoming album and that it should be released soon. Listen to “Heart Afire” below.
