Prophets of Rage released a new song today, “Living On The 110,” a track that will be part of their upcoming self-titled album, to be released on September 15th. The song is available on digital platforms.
In an interview with Metal Hammer, guitarist Tom Morello spoke about the song's theme: “In the US, roads have numbers, and in Los Angeles it goes up to 110. The homeless population exploded during the Obama administration. It always existed, but it increased a lot under Obama. So you have this ironic daily juxtaposition of Bentleys and Rolls Royces driving among the poor population, which is an analogy for the world, where the five richest families have the same wealth as two million people.”
