Prophets of Rage announced that the band will cease activities following the announcement that Rage Against the Machine will reunite in 2020 .
The news was revealed by B-Real , a Cypress Hill who was part of the group. Prophets was formed in 2016 with members of Rage Against the Machine – with the exception of vocalist Zak de la Rocha – and B-Real, Chuck D, and DJ Lord .
In an Instagram post, the musician wrote: “I want to thank the fans who supported [Prophets of Rage] during the time we were together. It was an honor to play on these stages and with people of all ages alongside these guys. It was a great time and I have great memories in a short period. Rocking alongside Chuck and Tom was incredible, to say the least.”
“It was fun while it lasted, and I hope we left a good impression, and that the music was a source of inspiration for those who needed it. That was the goal for which we came together. So, I say to everyone to stay informed, stay engaged, and fight the good fight.”
