Congratulations to the WikiMates who won kits from Pink Floyd's new album, "The Endless River"! Check out the winning answers:
Deluxe Kit (1 T-shirt + 1 eco bag + 1 Deluxe Box):
– My favorite song is the sixth track on the album, UNSUNG. Floyd is a band that never needed vocals to be understood or to move the world with their art. I believe UNSUNG translates this feeling of the unspeakable through the harmonic bed crafted by Mr. Rick Wright, and through Gilmour's farewell cries on the guitar. As a posthumous album, these 1:07 of music translate the ethereal feeling of the eternity of existence, even if not physical and even if not expressed with the written language common to men. In very few notes, Gilmour sings about how much Wright will be missed on Earth, but will never be forgotten by us mortals. – Filipe Ferrer
– My favorite song on Pink Floyd's album 'The Endless River' is It's What We Do. Although Louder Than Words is the album's lead single, with its catchy lyrics, my choice is based on the sound the other song achieved, reminiscent not of leftover recordings from the 1990s, but rather a continuation of the album Wish You Were Here, specifically the guitar timbre and keyboard style. Listening to It's What We Do reminded me of the continuity of the song Shine On You Crazy Diamond in its various parts, something unimaginable and made me travel. Oh yes, what a beautiful trip! It's great to hear these last inspirations from Rick Wright, the ones we won't hear anymore. Unless there's something else in the back of Gilmour's, Mason's, or even Waters' archives… Hopefully! – Alexandre Prado
Standard Kits (1 t-shirt+ eco bag+ 1 CD):
– “Louder Than Words”. This song closes the album “The Endless River”, a reminder of the old days and the band's definitive farewell to the music scene, also featuring a beautiful cover that reminds me of the fabulous musician and keyboardist Richard Wright, who is still greatly missed. But on the other hand, I believe that in his new dimension, together with Syd Barrett and several other musicians, they are still making a lot of noise. – Ricardo Pereira Rodrigues
– “Talkin' Hawkin'”. We all know that Stephen Hawking is a genius, and if there's a band whose genius is comparable, it's Pink Floyd. Only they could make music out of Hawking's speech. The sound they create takes us on a journey through the cosmos, which, despite its short duration, makes us think it's infinite. If one day a theory of everything is created, you can be sure that this masterpiece by the English band will be included. – Igor Felipe Rodrigues
