Project46 today released more details about their upcoming album, "Que Seja Feita a Nossa Vontade" (May Our Will Be Done) .
The CD, scheduled for release on April 8th, is produced by Adair Daufembach, who worked with the band on their first album, "Doa a Quem Doer," released in 2011. Daufembach has previously worked with artists such as John Wayne, Aquiles
Priester, Hangar, and Command6.
“Que Seja Feita a Nossa Vontade” also features appearances by Otávio Augusto (Pray for Mercy) and Leo Mesquita (Surra, ex-Like a Texas Murder). The cover art, created by graffiti artist Will Ferreira from Sorocaba, was done by hand.
Jean Patton, the band's guitarist, commented on the choice of artist: “When we first saw Will's work, we were impressed by the way he portrays social issues in our country. It's a playful, ironic language with diverse forms of interpretation and meaning. It's very rich in detail, critical, and aggressively artistic. Will is from Sorocaba (in the interior of São Paulo), a graffiti artist, and very talented. Therefore, we decided he would be the best person to translate into images what we are talking about/attacking in the lyrics and sound of this new album.”
Artist Will Ferreira also commented: “I identified strongly with the theme of Project46, which deals with society, attitudes, and choices. And this is the theme I generally use in my work, as it makes us think about what we can do to improve, it causes us to reflect.”
