Judas Priest and Tony Iommi paid tribute to him
Producer Chris Tsangarides died last Sunday, the 7th, at the age of 61 after contracting severe pneumonia that caused heart failure.
Known for his work with major bands such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, and others, Tsangarides began his career working as a sound engineer on Judas Priest's 1976 Sad Wings Of Destiny Thunder And Lightning , Black Sabbath's The Eternal Idol Painkiller .
He also worked on Bruce Dickinson's first solo album, Tattooed Millionaire, and collaborated with numerous other artists. Anvil, Helloween, Ian Gillan, The Sisters of Mercy, New Model Army, and Depeche Mode are just a few of the names.

Tony Iommi: “I was very saddened by the passing of producer Chris Tsangarides. He has been a part of my life since the 70s when he worked on Black Sabbath's 'Sabotage' album and he worked with me on several other albums and projects. An incredible man who I got along with and had a great laugh! He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.”
