Primal Fear has just surprised fans with the release of their new single “Tears Of Fire,” offering the first glimpse of what’s to come on their upcoming album Domination , scheduled for release on September 5th via Reigning Phoenix Music .
The music video, already available on YouTube, captures the band's intensity during the recording sessions at Kangaroo Studios in Germany.
In a press release, vocalist Ralf Scheepers explained the intention behind the song:
"Heroic thoughts and words to make it clear that no one needs to go through anything alone. But that there are always some people by your side to go through the good and bad times with you."
With nearly three decades on the road, Primal Fear is undergoing a significant lineup overhaul. The talented Thalía Bellazecca ( Angus McSix , Frozen ) brings her impressive technique to the six strings, while André Hilgers ( Axxis , Rage , Silent Force , Sinner , Bonfire ) takes over the drums, injecting new energy into the band's sound. Veteran Magnus Karlsson not only returns for live shows but also remains a fundamental part of the songwriting trio alongside founders Mat Sinner on bass and Ralf Scheepers on vocals.
Domination promises to be a musical rollercoaster, alternating between heavy songs like "The Hunter" and "Scream," as well as more melodic moments in "Tears of Fire," and even a surprising collaboration with Melissa Bonny of Ad Infinitum on the ballad "Eden." The album closes with the atmospheric "A Tune I Won't Forget," showcasing a more reflective side of the band.
