Nirvana NFTs will be released next month to celebrate what would have been Kurt Cobain's 55th birthday .

The non-fungible tokens will be released on February 20th and created from previously unseen photos taken during a Nirvana concert on October 6, 1991 – six days after the release of Nevermind – at JC Dobbs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The series will consist of 28 photos taken by photographer Faith West and will be sold via Pop Legendz . The price for the digital pieces will start at $99 (approximately R$540 at the current exchange rate) and can go up to $250,000 (R$1.4 million at the current exchange rate). The photos can be purchased in black and white or color. 100 units of the NFTs will be available.

The money raised from the sales will be donated to the NGOs The Trevor Project and Grid Alternatives , which respectively seek to help at-risk LGBTQ+ youth prevent suicides and help bring solar energy to low-income families.
