In its 2025 edition, Bangers Open Air will take place at the Memorial da América Latina, on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th, in São Paulo.

With a lineup packed with bands, the festival features big names in metal, such as Saxon , Kerry King , and Doro Pesch .

Prominent national groups will also participate, such as Black Pantera , VIPER , and Matanza Ritual .

With three days of great music, there are a large number of artists performing. With that in mind, I've compiled a list of international names that aren't so well-known to the general public so you can discover them.

Pressive

Celebrating 20 years on the road in 2025, the Mexican band Pressive will perform on the second day of the festival.

The group stands out for its distinctive sound and for being one of the leading nu metal bands in Latin America.

In addition to having already participated in international festivals, they have also toured North and Latin America with bands such as Incubus , Motionless in White , Godsmack , Lamb of God , and Machine Head .

Kissin' Dynamite

With a confirmed show for the festival's warm-up, Kissin' Dynamite will perform on May 2nd.

The German band is known for its sound rooted in 80s hard rock, with catchy and memorable songs.

Having already released 7 albums, their most recent work is Back With A Bang (2024), with which the group has been touring.

Dreamspirit

Dreamspirit is a folk metal band from China that has been around since 2005.

The group's music blends ancient Chinese sounds – with instruments like the guzheng and erhu – with contemporary elements.

In addition to touring China with Northtale , Dreamspirit will become the first Chinese metal band to perform a show in Brazil.

Haken

Haken will be playing on Sunday, May 4th. The London-based prog metal band made their debut in 2010 with the album Aquarius . The group focuses on technique and sonic complexity, everything a prog metal fan looks for.

Beyond The Black

With a guaranteed performance on Sunday of the festival, Beyond The Black , a German symphonic metal band, brings melodic songs reminiscent of the genre's icon: Nightwish . Their first album , Songs Of Love And Death (2015), won "Best Debut" at the 2015 Metal Hammer Awards .

Nile

Hailing from the United States, Nile is an extremely technical death metal band with complex solos and drumming. The group has been touring since 1993 and their lyrics focus on ancient Egyptian history and mythology, along with references to the works of H.P. Lovecraft .
