Bangers Open Air 2025 will have changes in the presentations of Powerwolf and Ensiferum this Saturday (3), at Memorial da América Latina, in São Paulo.
Powerwolf will perform without guitarist Matthew Greywolf , who is absent due to scheduling conflicts. To replace him, the band has called upon Markus Pohl , who has already filled in on other occasions. In a statement, the group reassured fans: “Matthew is fine, but he couldn’t travel this time. Markus, our longtime brother, will join us on stage.” On their first visit to Brazil in 2020, Markus also replaced Matthew during the tour with Amon Amarth .
Ensiferum will face the absence of guitarist and vocalist Markus Toivonen . The musician suffered a serious accident after their recent North American tour and needed surgery on his left ankle. With his leg in a cast and unable to travel, Toivonen explained : “I begged the doctor, but the risk of a blood clot on the flight is too high.” For the show, the band will use pre-recorded tracks to fill in for his parts.
