Powerwolf releases new single “Dancing With The Dead” with cinematic music video

The band is counting down to the release of their album 'Call Of The Wild'

Powerwolf is preparing to release their new album, Call Of The Wild , on July 9th. This Friday, the 25th, the band presented their new single “Dancing With The Dead” to the world, which arrived along with a cinematic music video, following the production quality of their last release, “ Beast Of Gévaudan ”.

The music video for the new song visually illustrates the literal meaning of the title: dancing with the dead. In the images, we can see the vocalist, Attila Dorn , leading a beautiful young woman through a castle and dancing a romantic waltz, in the style of Beauty and the Beast . It doesn't take long for the young woman to notice strange details around her and begin to be tormented by made-up dancers, probably representing the dead in question, who won't let her escape.

Expectations are high for Call Of The Wild , and the release is seen as "an exciting new chapter" by the band. In a statement, guitarist Matthew Greywolf said that Powerful has never sounded "so powerful and wild, in the truest sense of the word."

Recently, the band invited Alissa White-Gluz , vocalist of Arch Enemy , for a reinterpretation of the song "Demons Are A Girl's Best Friend," which resulted in a fascinating music video subverting the original video . The song's lyrics were also altered to acquire a non-sexist and empowering tone for women.
