In an interview with American radio station TNT, drummer Mike Portnoy refuted comments by John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess that he would be too busy to reunite with the band for the 25th anniversary tour of "Images And Words".

In an interview in February, Petrucci and Rudess were asked if they would invite Portnoy on the album tour, and they said that Portnoy was a very busy musician who wouldn't have time for his former band. Now, the drummer comments:

“I think they were joking when they said I’m too busy for them. I always have time for the people who made my history (…) I have very good memories of them, they were a huge part of my life.

I'm not too busy for them. I always make time for everyone. I'm in 87 bands, so obviously I'm able to do several things at the same time. I just need the invitation. They haven't invited me to any of the shows. So that's up to them
