Get to know Sons Of Apollo
Former Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian have joined forces with a number of musicians to form the newly announced band Sons Of Apollo. Completing the lineup are Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N' Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force).
The band announced that they will release their debut album , Psychotic Symphony, on October 20th, and have already shared a teaser of the work, which can be seen below.
Portnoy commented on the band's formation, revealing that Sons Of Apollo plans to tour next year: "Sons Of Apollo will be a definite band for us, we intend to tour around the world during 2018 and honestly, it's a priority for all of us .
