Mingau , nickname of Rinaldo Oliveira Amaral , bassist of Ultraje a Rigor , was shot in the head this morning in Parati.
The musician was driving through the city when he slowed down to go over a speed bump. The vehicle was then hit by a burst of gunfire. According to a witness, the shots caused Mingau to lose control of the car and crash into the gate of a house.
Mingau, 56, was admitted to the Hugo Miranda Municipal Hospital in the city of Paraty, in the southern part of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The band's team managed to secure a helicopter equipped as a mobile ICU to transport the musician from Paraty to São Paulo.
“We managed to get the aircraft equipped as an ICU and it will be transported to the Oswaldo Cruz hospital, thanks to the kindness of Fernando Parrillo and Fabrício Mourão, owners of Air Jet,” Sammantha Donadel , the band's booker, Portal Splash .
Roger Machado the vocalist and founder of Ultraje a Rigor, made the following post asking for prayers:
