Rinaldo Oliveira Amaral , also known as Mingau , bassist for the band Ultraje a Rigor , had his health insurance renewed by SBT after a controversy in which the network had refused to renew it. The artist was a member of the talk show The Noite , hosted by Danilo Gentili .
According to the Leo Dias news portal Silvio Santos ' daughters learned of the situation and reversed the cancellation of the bassist's health insurance renewal, reinstating it "with all rights."
Flávio Ricco , from the portal, comments: “In the history of the company, this has never happened. On the contrary. Many employees and even former employees have always received full support from the company, on many other similar occasions. ”
Isabella Aglio , Mingau's daughter, offered to reimburse the broadcaster for the cost of the contract with the service provider so as not to interrupt the treatment, but her request was denied.
Mingau was shot on September 2, 2023, in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, being hit in the head while riding in a car with a friend. A suspect in the shooting was arrested last October.
More than a year after the attack, the bassist was discharged from the hospital and is being treated at a rehabilitation clinic.
