The Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox recently shared a video on their YouTube channel of their performance of "Soft Spine," featuring a very special guest appearance by Poppy Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky.

Among the bands that performed during the festival were: Korn , Judas Priest , Gojira , Polaris , Architects , Jinjer , and others. However, the one who drew the most attention was Courtney LaPlante , with her devastating screams in the song "Soft Spine," which was released last September. Furthermore, in her chosen setlist for the festival, LaPlante delivered crushing vocals to the audience.

Surprises in the Setlist

Poppy, after performing her own set, surprised the audience by joining in mid-song of "Soft Spine," and, just like Courtney, unleashed her voice and screams. The combination of their voices brought the crowd to a state of ecstasy.

However, Poppy wasn't the only surprise guest on Spiritbox . The band's performance also featured Sam Carter , vocalist of Architects, for the song "Yellowjacket," and Tatiana Shmayluk , vocalist of Jinjer, for the song "Circle With Me."

Spiritbox is touring North America and, in November, they will land in Brazil to open for Bring Me The Horizon , along with Motionless In White and The Plot In You , at Allianz Parque stadium in São Paulo.

Poppy is also coming to Brazil later this year, but in October, for the final day of Knotfest , which will also take place at Allianz Parque stadium. The festival will feature bands such as Bad Omens , Baby Metal , POD , among others.

Born into a family passionate about music of various genres (more precisely, country music and Roberto Carlos), she discovered the good life of Rock and Roll at age 11 (she was Emo, but who wasn't?) through school friends, and hasn't stopped since. Hyper-focused (only on things she likes), she discovered genres that weren't popular at the time and became attached to them (yes, I'm a defender of Metal Espadinha, Folk, and Celtic). Involved with music behind the scenes and even on stage, she even played the saxophone (to play Kenny G). Currently, she plays piano and bass and fiercely defends the idea that you can be a metalhead (any kind) and cry to Corazón Partío. A graduate in Digital Social Media from Belas Artes, she is a Social Media Manager at a music school. She enjoys writing and defending her opinions so much that she became a contributor to the Wikimetal website's writing team.
