Vote in the new Wikimetal poll!

The loss of a musician is irreparable, and in addition to family members, bandmates and fans grieve along with them, as if they had lost a friend. Therefore, the issue of bands continuing their work after such a loss is controversial.

Queen has been touring for years with Adam Lambert on vocals as a way to honor the band's work and the late vocalist Freddie Mercury . Grey Daze Chester Bennington 's death , featuring his vocals. The list is extensive, and even more so of bands that stopped after the death of their colleagues, such as Led Zeppelin after the loss of John Bonham.

With that in mind, Wikimetal wants to know your opinion, dear reader. Answer below:

Do you think bands should continue touring or in the studio after the death of a member?

  • Yes, I think the band should continue their work regardless of the loss (85%)
  • No, the band should change its name and start over from scratch (15%)
