This week, on September 12th, Neil Peart , the legendary drummer of Rush , would have turned 68 if he were still alive. Peart passed away in January of this year, a victim of brain cancer, which he had been battling for three years.

Like you, here at Wikimetal , we consider Rush one of the greatest rock bands, and we couldn't let the date pass unnoticed, especially since September is such an important month in the band's career. Did you know that many of Rush's albums were released in September?

Caress of Steel , the band's third album, was released in September 1975, while A Farewell to Kings , their fifth album, was released in the same month two years later. Signals came out in 1982, Hold Your Fire in 1987, Roll the Bones in 1991, and finally, Test for Echo in 1996. Wow, so much to celebrate this month, huh?
