The band SURR, reflects on human relationships in the modern world with a fast and powerful sound, without shying away from the political and social aspects of these questions.
Part of Wikimetal 's discoveries on Groover, the band's latest single is called "Renegado" and aims to be an anthem for people who feel lonely, strange, and out of place in the face of societal standards.
Formed by Yuri (lyrics and vocals), Lucas Esquilo (guitar), Neto (bass), and Gui Miranda (drums) in 2015 in the city of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, the rock band brings the nonconformist attitude of punk and the aggressiveness of metal to their music. "The instruments and sounds are a form of protest, questioning, and struggle. SURR is influenced by bands and artists who believe in this same premise," explains the group.
The band's manifesto positions art as "a political and revolutionary movement" to challenge those at the top of society's structures, seeking to create music in a creative process "free from commercial constraints" and questioning everything as a rule.
In seven years of his career, SURR has already shared the stage with renowned bands such as Dead Fish, CPM 22, Vespas Mandarinas and Glória , to name a few, in addition to having performed on the KISS CLUB , broadcast live on KISS FM radio.
