Two men were arrested after attempting to ram a concert venue with a car. According to reports, the pair were ejected from the event earlier, even before the POD show, and returned with the vehicle at high speed towards the entrance of the venue.
According to the Birmingham Police Department in Alabama, the suspects attempted to flee the crime scene on foot but were apprehended. Fortunately, only one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Matt Brandyberry , vocalist for the opening band From Ashes to New , believes it was an attempted murder following a disagreement with the venue's security guard, who allegedly pulled a gun during the argument. "I think what ended up happening was after he left, he came back in his car and tried to run over the security guard. This guy drove his fucking car into the bar, into the club," he said.
