"We need more love, more compassion, more understanding, and to listen more to each other," said the lead singer of POD.
P.O.D. released their 10th studio album, Circles , on November 16th. Now, the band has revealed the video for the track “Listening for the Silence,” which addresses the topic of mental health.
Following in the tradition of songs like "Youth of the Nation" from 2001, the band addresses social issues here. Mental disorders and depression are the main themes of the video, which shows a day in the life of a young person dealing with these illnesses.
Regarding the song and video, vocalist Sonny Sandoval said: “Not everything is as it seems. Most of society today faces some kind of traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, or mental disorder. It’s more common than we believe. We need more love, more compassion, more understanding, and to listen to others much more. We need help.”
