The song “You're So Impatient” is new, and the band itself describes it as: “an explosive two-minute and nine-second zombie attack in the mall.” While the other song, “Que Sera, Sera,” is a re-recording. In 2021, the band recorded the same song for the television series From .
The release of this single coincides with the start of the group's tour. The band will be touring the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and New Zealand. This time, they will be accompanied by Modest Mouse and Cat Power.
The new bassist for the Pixies
Earlier this year, the Pixies announced the departure of bassist Paz Lenchantin . She had been part of the band since 2014, replacing bassist Kim Shattuck. The band released a statement saying: “Lenchantin has left the band to focus on her own projects. We are grateful for Paz’s contributions and wish her all the best for the future.” However, Paz told Rolling Stone that her departure took her by surprise. She added: “They have a solid plan in place, which in turn has led me to move forward with new projects that excite me.”
Shortly after, the band announced Emma Richardson as their replacement. Previously, the bassist played in the English group Band of Skulls.
