Pitty opened the shows on the Skyline stage this Saturday, the 9th, on the third day of The Town. The singer was the first act on the main stage of a day completely dedicated to rock, which will also feature Detonautas, Barão Vermelho, Garbage , Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Foo Fighters .

With two decades in the business, Pitty is currently on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Admirável Chip Novo (2003) . For her show at The Town, she played big hits from the album, such as the title track, “Teto de Vidro” and “Máscara”, but prepared a special and completely unique performance with the participation of the Nova Orquestra .

Composed mostly of women, the Nova Orquestra defines itself as "the first pop orchestra in Brazil," bringing a very contemporary language to classical music. The more modern approach allowed various elements of chamber music to be added to Pitty's powerful rock, resulting in an exciting and electrifying performance, led by women.

In addition to the hits from her debut album, Pitty also played other great singles that marked her career. She opened the mosh pit during "Memórias ," got the entire audience singing "Na Sua Estante" at the top of their lungs, and moved the crowd with the striking presence of the violins and cello of the Nova Orquestra in "Temporal."

In a short but impactful show, the singer from Bahia celebrated 20 years of great success as a Northeastern woman in Brazilian rock and demonstrated the relevance and impact of her musical career, racking up hit after hit over the decades, even when all the odds were against her.
