Last Friday, the 7th, singer Pitty launched her collaborative project Casulo , inaugurating her own label.

In an interview with Tenho Mais Discos Que Amigos!, Pitty talked about fulfilling her dream of opening her own production company and interacting with the public through Twitch during the pandemic, allowing fans to also stay up-to-date on the artist's creative process.

During the conversation, the singer also criticized the current music market model, which is heavily focused on numbers, streams, and views. “I think the current model, based on numbers, likes, and photos, sacrifices art and creators. Everything becomes empty and based on illusion,” she reflects. “Not everyone knows this, but many numbers, charts , and 'positions' are bought. In other words, for those with money, the payola has just changed location. It's a deception that is clearly seen in practice: sometimes a person has millions of views, but can't fill a venue for 3,000 people. They can't hold an hour and a half on stage at a festival because they don't have the repertoire. They haven't built a foundation for it.”

Pitty also emphasized that "we can never surrender to this market logic that only aims for immediate profit and sucks artists dry until they have nothing left," but also clarified that nothing in this model is new or unprecedented. "In my first album, there were other agents, the same logic. But, this dilemma continues," she concludes.

The EP Casulo features 4 tracks and a wide range of collaborations spanning various musical genres, including Drik Barbosa , BADSISTA , Jup do Bairro , and many more.
