Near the anniversary of Andre Matos VIPER bandmate , Pit Passarell , recorded a moving testimony about the vocalist.
Pit is the co-founder of VIPER and the main songwriter for the São Paulo-based band, which had Andre Matos as its first vocalist.
In the video, Pit Passarell, visibly emotional, emphasizes Andre's importance.
"The good thing about talking about Andre is that I was his friend when we were nobody. Maybe here in Brazil, people have no idea how wonderful his voice was. There are few voices that are so pure. Not just in terms of technique."
"Everyone needs to know that he had one of the best voices in the world. And the kindest heart in the world. No one can deny that."
Pit concludes by saying: "The cool thing about this is knowing that you're missed, Andre."
The rock maestro , as Andre is known, was involved in VIPER's first two albums, Soldiers of Sunrise and Theater of Fate .
The vocalist reunited with VIPER in 2012, when together they performed over 30 shows on the “To Live Again Tour”. Andre Matos' last full album and DVD, Live in São Paulo , is a recording of VIPER's show at Via Marquês in 2012.
