Pink Floyd surprised Brazilian fans this Friday, the 12th, by announcing on Instagram, in partnership with Sony Brazil , the installation of a life-size 3D themed panel inspired by the iconic cover of Wish You Were Here , in Rio de Janeiro.

The event, held to celebrate the worldwide release of Wish You Were Here 50 , brought the album's classic aesthetic directly to Post 1 on Leme Beach in Copacabana.

In the caption published by the band, Floyd invited the public to “check it out, take photos and celebrate with us” the arrival of the new commemorative edition. Furthermore, the first fans to visit the location would receive exclusive surprise items. The immersive 3D panel inspired by the album's universe will be on display for 4 days.

The event in Rio de Janeiro is part of the international promotion for the re-release of Wish You Were Here (1975 ). The expanded edition, titled Wish You Were Here 50, includes new mixes, alternative studio versions, live rarities from 1975, and deluxe editions that revisit the entire creative process of the album.
