The trailer for a new documentary about Syd Barrett was released last Wednesday, the 26th.
The film Have You Got It Yet? The Story Of Syd Barrett And Pink Floyd was directed by Roddy Bagawa and the late graphic designer Storm Thorgerson , of Hipgnosis Pink Floyd CD inserts – including The Dark Side Of The Moon (1973) .
The documentary explores Syd Barrett's life both in Pink Floyd and in his solo career and years away from the spotlight (via Loudersound ) .
Have You Got It Yet? opens in UK cinemas on May 15 and in North America in June. The film contains never-before-seen footage of Syd, as well as new interviews with Syd's sister, Rosemary Breen , his bandmates David Gilmour , Nick Mason and Roger Waters , managers Peter Jenner and Andrew King , and several other guest musicians, such as Pete Townshend of The Who and Graham Coxon of Blur.
