After appealing for an end to the war in Ukraine , David Gilmour decided to remove his entire catalog and that of Pink Floyd from Russian streaming platforms.
On their Twitter account, the band described the act as a way to "join the world in strongly condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine." All Pink Floyd's work from 1987 onwards and all of David Gilmour's solo projects have been removed from digital platforms in Russia and Belarus.
A few weeks ago, Gilmour called on Russian soldiers to stop "killing their brothers" and declared that "there will be no winners in this war." The musician also mentioned his close ties to Ukraine through his daughter-in-law and great-granddaughters, who have Ukrainian ancestry.
