Pink Floyd releases new collector's edition of 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'

The reissue will be released in April, in celebration of the album's 50th anniversary.

To continue the celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side Of The Moon , released in 1973, Pink Floyd has announced a new collector's edition of the album on vinyl, which will be available for purchase from April 19th.

The reissue will come with special Picture Disc versions pressed on crystal-clear vinyl. There will be two single-sided LPs, weighing 180g each, each containing artwork referencing the iconic album cover.

The images on the vinyl were created using permanent ink and an ultraviolet printer – which uses UV-LED light to dry the ink once the artwork is in place. This is the first time Pink Floyd has used this pioneering printing process.

The LPs will be housed in a fold-out cover, along with an exclusive poster.

The collector's edition is now available for pre-order on the band's official website and follows the 2023 release of the remastered album on CD, LP and Blu-ray, available for the first time as part of the 50th anniversary box set of The Dark Side Of The Moon .
